Getting stuff together

Ran around this morning organizing a couple upcoming parties already.  Started thinking about Thanksgiving and my traditional Christmas Cookie party.  Invites went out for both over the weekend and a few more going today.  I can't believe it's fall and soon will be Christmas, New Year's, etc.  Time goes by so fast.  Next thing, it'll be summer again.  Yeah, yeah...maybe I'm wishful thinking.  Midwest winters always feel like they take so long because of the potential for snow and the horrible cold temps.  I still plan to bike in the cold, though I might be joining a class, but jury is still out on that, but hopefully.

Geranium Porch

There's an old building Downtown Milwaukee called The Cudahy, it's either apartments or condos, don't know for sure, but this was the most colorful one.  

St Johannes

This church is a historic church in Downtown Milwaukee.  I like the colors of the plants and windows.  Plus the doors look pretty cool to me.

Tree Markings

This tree stands at the entrance of a little walk way that goes from the School Sisters Home back to the cemetery.  I was told over the years there were a lot of rumors about what took place in the wooded area, wonder if the markings are an indicator.  No clue, nor would I even know what to look for.

It was very cold yesterday when I shot this.  I love how the gold and oranges stand out with just a hint of the green bushes.  Shadow play was neat too with the blinding sun on top.  Never would know it was taken in a cemetery
